Secret ZeeOps- Operation: Mr. E (November 2021)

All caught up with Secret ZeeOps and looking for more? Here’s a new one available in the ZeeOps Hub for the usual cost of 1,500 Zeds. For now, it will be available for purchase until 23:59 MHQ on December 31. If you’ve purchased a Secret ZeeOp, you will be able to complete it and collect rewards even after it is no longer available for purchase.

Can you help us track down a former agent? If you complete ALL the missions in Operation: Mr. E, you’ll receive the snazzy badge below, along with both forms of the Master of Disguise Munzee (more info below!) and various other rewards listed in the app!

There are 3 levels. Level 1 has 3 missions, Level 2 has 5 missions, and Level 3 has 5 missions. Each level ends with more prizes.

We may share this information moving forward with other Operations but possibly not.

Master of Disguise Details

The Master of Disguise (MoD) is a Zeecret Weapon that behaves similarly to the Surprise Munzee in that it appears on the map as its own pin, but when captured it actually awards the capture of another type.

Did you catch the difference between how the MoD and the Surprise Munzee work? It’s quite subtle, so let’s clarify: when you capture a MoD, it awards the capture of another type, meaning, if you check the [Achievements] –> [Specials] area of the app you will see the pin image of that type. When you capture a Surprise, it will still award the capture of a Surprise (and will be what you see in the [Achievements] –> [Specials] area of the app) but the capture message and the points you receive will vary based on the types currently in the Surprise pool.

The pool for the MoD is different than the one for the Surprise, so don’t expect Jewels and Destination Rooms (at least for now)!

Points

  • Deploy: 50
  • Capture: varies according to “disguise” — if you are awarded the actual Master of Disguise capture (a rare possibility) it is worth 100 points
  • CapOn: varies according to “disguise” — if another player is awarded the actual Master of Disguise capture (a rare possibility) from one that you have deployed, it is worth 35 points to you

You can access MoDs by turning on their filter in “Physicals – ZeeOps” and “Virtuals – ZeeOps”. If you manage to receive an actual MoD capture, you will earn a special badge — as there is only one badge in this line, we’ll keep it a secret for now. Capping these new munzees will also contribute progress towards the overall Zeecret Weapon captures badge line!

On behalf of MHQ, we thank you for your continued service.

Sir Prize Santa is Shaking Up the Holiday Season!

Last year we started a new Advent Calendar-like tradition with the Holiday Card Collectors Club! Thanks to the positive response, we had similar releases for Valentine’s Day and our 10th Birthday that were also well-received. This time, to keep things fresh and equally exciting for all players, we decided to tweak the formula a bit and create Sir Prize Santa, which you’re able to purchase starting NOW in the Freeze Tag Online Store!

Sir Prize Santa Details

Expect a surprise inside every day up to and including Christmas day! Since this period is slightly shorter than the Holiday Mailbox’s, we’ve packed it with more goodies than before to make up for the difference. Like the HCCC, Club members will receive virtual items only.

When you deploy this new game piece nearby it will only be visible to AND cappable by you. IT MUST BE DEPLOYED IN APP! To ensure that you are able to capture this new game piece each day, you’ll also be able to update its location if you’ll be traveling at any point. You can only move the Sir Prize Santa in app and do NOT need to undeploy first. We really don’t want you to miss out! It is very important you capture it each day.

The Sir Prize Santa is worth 100 deploy points! When it comes to captures, you’ll receive 10 points each day, but you’ll only receive additional items (the prizes) in December. The Sir Prize Santa can be captured up to 1000 feet away and is found under the Virtuals filter but ONLY visible to the OWNER. It will be archived after December 25th.

How the Sir Prize Santa Works

Starting December 1st at 00:01 MHQ, each day you cap your Sir Prize Santa you will be awarded a random prize, from a pool of prizes similar to the HCCC. Please note: (1) Greeting Cards will not be awarded each day as in the HCCC, however, you will have the option to stock up on Greeting Cards with what you receive from Sir Prize Santa if you choose (2) since the prizes are random, you may receive different items from other players in the same tier/list; however, those in the same tier/list will eventually receive all the same items, just on different days, and (3) that you’ll only be able to collect prizes for the 25 days of the prize period, so you really don’t want to miss a day. Once you cap the Sir Prize Santa you’ll earn points, and depending on which tier of Santa’s List you purchase you may also get some extra prizes!

There are 3 tiers of Santa’s List you can purchase HERE. As stated above, since the time period for the Sir Prize Santa is slightly shorter than the HCCC, we’ve added extra goodies so that the content and pricing is similar. You are only able to purchase ONE tier per player account.

  • Tier 1 “Naughty List” is available for $9.99 and includes the NEW Sir Prize Santa, which will give you something to cap each day and deliver 25 random prizes for you to use.
  • Tier 2 “Nice List” is available for $14.99 and includes the NEW Sir Prize Santa and better (higher-value) prizes than Tier 1! You’ll also get some special bonuses scattered throughout the prize period, which could be double points days, exclusive specials or scatters to cap, etc.
  • Tier 3 “Rob’s List” is available for $24.99 and includes the NEW Sir Prize Santa and better prizes than Tier 2 PLUS all bonuses we have planned (some that Tier 2 will not have access to), AND a NEW TR33 T0PP3R mech! The bonus rewards will be well worth joining this tier over the previous two. You can find out more about the TR33 T0PP3R below!

Once you’ve decided on a Tier, you can purchase it in the FT Store! Please make absolutely sure you’re satisfied with the Tier you select before purchasing, as we may not be able to change it. You may only join one tier. You will still be able to purchase a spot on Santa’s List until 12:00 MHQ on Wednesday, December 15, but you won’t be able to earn rewards from the days that have passed. We suggest getting on Santa’s List as soon as possible to make sure you won’t miss out and prepare for December fun!

TR33 T0PP3R Details

Like the other Munzee Mechz, the TR33 TOPP3R is a temporary POB that will remain on the map until it has been captured 10 times. If you are on Rob’s List, you will receive a fully-built TR33 TOPP3R that will auto-deploy on 00:01 MHQ on December 1st. You will also receive the Blueprint to rebuild it when you have earned enough Cogs in the future.

Points

  • Deploy: 777
  • Capture: 250
  • CapOn: 133
  • Takeoff (10th Cap): 500

You can find these dynamic decorations blasting off to the following landing pads every 6 hours or when captured:

TR33 TOPP3Rs will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture TR33 TOPP3Rs on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same TR33 TOPP3R visits you. TR33 TOPP3Rs are non-blastable. They will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access TR33 TOPP3Rs by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When a TR33 TOPP3R is captured, it will scatter up to 3 N1NJ4 ST4Rs.

These will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the TR33 TOPP3R owner’s account. This means that unlike Feathers/Boulders, there are CapOn rewards for the owner! They expire after 120 minutes, have a capture radius of 300 feet, and you’ll be able to use Rover Treats to capture them as well. These scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity since they are passive deploys.

The rewards for N1NJ4 ST4Rs are as follows:

  • Capture: 50 points
  • CapOn: 44 points

Badges

Deploying a Sir Prize Santa will earn you a special badge that you can see below. Similarly, deploying a TR33 TOPP3R will earn you the corresponding Blueprint badge, which you can also see below.

Lastly, there will be a line of capture badges that you can earn for TR33 TOPP3R or N1NJ4 ST4R captures, and possibly other types we release in the future! These are still being worked on in Santa’s workshop, but we’ll try to post the first badge when it’s ready!

Are you ready for 25 days of Christmas?

Munzee on!

New Mechs for Oktoberfest!

Nothing quite rings in the fall season like Oktoberfest! We love the festivities so much that in 2013, it was the theme for first MHQ Bash — if you were around last year, you may remember our Bash from the Past special that was a throwback to that time. We featured Oktoberfest again in 2017’s MHQ Bash. Since we won’t be able to celebrate as we usually do, we designed some new Munzee Mechs to bring the party to you! Please welcome SteinBot and CarafeBorg!

NEW Mech Details

SteinBots and CarafeBorgs are temporary POBs that will remain on the map until they have been captured 5 times. The SteinBot is available at the Freeze Tag Store HERE. The CarafeBorg will be available in the In-App Store! When you purchase a SteinBot or CarafeBorg, you will receive a fully-built SteinBot or CarafeBorg that auto-deploys. You will also receive the Blueprint to rebuild it when you have earned enough Cogs in the future. These Mechs will be available until 12:00 MHQ on Thursday, October 7th.

Points

  • Deploy: 500
  • Capture: 250
  • CapOn: 100
  • Crush (5th Cap): 500

You can find these droid drink makers serving orders at the following landing pads every 6 hours or when captured:

SteinBots and CarafeBorgs will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture SteinBots and CarafeBorgs on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same SteinBot or CarafeBorg visits you. SteinBots and CarafeBorgs are non-blastable. They will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access SteinBots and CarafeBorgs by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When a SteinBot is captured, it will scatter up to 3 Botwursts. Similarly, when a CarafeBorg is captured, it will scatter up to 3 Dronuts.

These will be visible to any player and will be deployed on the SteinBot or CarafeBorg owner’s account.

The rewards for Botwursts and Dronuts are as follows:

  • Capture: 50 points
  • CapOn: 25 points

Badges

Deploying a SteinBot or a CarafeBorg will earn you the corresponding Blueprint badge. You can see these badges below.

There is also a line of capture badges that you can earn for SteinBot, Botwurst, CarafeBorg or Dronut Munzee captures! You can see the first badge in this line below.

We hope these mechs help keep you hydrated during the festivities!

Munzee on!

Birthday QRates in the Wild?!

Nine days ago, we revealed what was waiting inside the Birthday Qrate for Tier 3 10th Birthday Mailbox members — the MechaniC4K3! It definitely caught your attention with its high deploy points, and we were happy to see it was an enjoyable surprise! Of course, we didn’t want to leave the rest of the players out indefinitely, so we thought it would be nice to release the Blueprints (just the Blueprints, no auto-deployed tPOB) in a slightly different Birthday QRate for all!

What’s Different?

Here’s a handy chart to make it easy to compare:

Wild Birthday QRate 10th Birthday Mailbox Birthday QRate All other QRates
Where to find Greenies, Physical Elementals (Fire, Ice, Earth, Water) 10th Birthday Mailbox Tier 3 Day 3 Greenies
Need Empty Slot? Yes No – came with a temporary slot Yes
Cap Requirements 100 physical munzees 25 physical munzees 100, 124, or 160 physical munzees, depending on type
Prize Pool MechaniC4K3 Blueprint, NEW Cubimal, 5-pack of certain Greeting Cards Auto-deployed MechaniC4K3 + MechaniC4K3 Blueprints guaranteed Cubimal, Booster, other Credits

Or, if you prefer some slightly more detailed info in list form:

  • Birthday QRates can be found when capturing physical Elementals (Fire, Ice, Earth, Water) in addition to Greenies — other QRates can only be found when capturing Greenies
  • It will require an empty slot to be found — the 10th Birthday Mailbox’s Birthday QRate came with a temporary slot, if all your slots were full
  • It will require 100 physical munzee captures to open — the 10th Birthday Mailbox’s Birthday QRate only required 25 captures
  • Upon opening the QRate, there is a chance to receive the MechaniC4K3 Blueprint, but it is NOT guaranteed — the 10th Birthday Mailbox’s Birthday QRate is guaranteed to deploy a fully-built MechaniC4K3 AND award the Blueprint
    • Other prizes in the prize pool include a previously unreleased Cubimal, and 5-packs of certain Greeting Cards
    • If you already own the MechaniC4K3 Blueprint (i.e. if you are a Tier 3 10th Birthday Mailbox member) you will receive one of the other prizes

Please note that these Birthday QRates will only be available until 23:59 MHQ on July 31st. Good luck to those seeking out the MechaniC4K3 Blueprints!

We hope you enjoy the other prizes in the pool as well!

Birthday QRate Spoiler!

If you’re a Tier 3 member of the 10th Birthday Mailbox, there’s a reason why the requirements are set to just 25 physical captures — we wanted you to open it ASAP! Inside the Birthday QRate, you will receive a fully-built MechaniC4K3 that auto-deploys. You will also receive the Blueprint to rebuild it as many times as you like with the Cogs you’ve earned from Daily ZeeOps. Remember that you’ll need to head to the Redeem Store to do so!

MechaniC4K3 Details

The MechaniC4K3 is a temporary POB. It will deploy on your account when you complete the requirements to open the Birthday QRate awarded from the 10th Birthday Mailbox. The mailbox must be capped on July 3rd 00:01-23:59 MHQ time to receive the Birthday QRate. It will stay on the map until it has been captured 10 times, when it will be archived on your account. After the tenth capture a MechaniC4K3 will be “crumbled” which results in more points for the capper.

MechaniC4K3 will bounce to certain virtual munzees (listed below) for the first 9 captures, but after being capped 9 times it will land on a physical munzee where it can now be crumbled. If you’ve ever deployed a Butterfly or Frog Evolution munzee, these will behave similarly with a few exceptions.

Points

  • Deploy: 1,000
  • Capture: 250
  • CapOn: 150
  • Crumble (10th Cap): 500

You can find these terrifying treats rolling to the following landing pads every 3 hours or when captured:

Past Secret ZeeOps Return!

Agents, as the world is still recovering from the past year, we know not everything has gone according to plan. Some of you have wanted to participate in Secret ZeeOps, but it just wasn’t in the cards. Since we’ve shaken things up, we thought the time was right to offer a second chance at the past Ops! You can find them in the ZeeOps Hub.

If you haven’t gotten a L.A.S.E.R. Shark Blueprint yet, remember that you’ll receive the base one as a reward for Operation: ZEEcret Admirer, the Golden one as a reward for Operation: Green Thumb, and the Arctic one as a reward for Operation: Lady Luck. As always, if you’ve purchased a Secret ZeeOp, you will be able to complete it and collect rewards even after it is no longer available for purchase.

On behalf of MHQ, we thank you for your continued service.

RUMbots and Blueprints and Cogs! Oh my!

Last month’s Spyderbot Squashing Initiative was successful in decreasing the number of Spyderbots on the map, but without changes to the Spyderbots themselves, the numbers have climbed back up again. To keep the bouncers more varied and fun for players to chase after, we’ve created a new credit called a “Cog” which will replace the Spyderbot as the Day 7 Daily ZeeOps reward.

Paired with Blueprints, you’ll be able to use those Cogs to deploy new tPOBs of your choosing. If you started playing Munzee more than half a year ago, you’ll be happy to know that past Blueprints you’ve collected will be of use! However, please note that tPOBs deployed using this new system have been rebuilt to offer a more consistent experience. This means things like point values and scatters remain the same as the originals, but expiration triggers and badge lines are different. If you missed out on any of those past Blueprints, you’ll find some of them available in the Freeze Tag Store. Like many of our other items, Blueprint availability will be on rotation.

If you have the right Blueprint, instead of using the 5 Cogs you’ll receive upon completing your Day 7 Daily ZeeOps mission to deploy a Spyderbot, now you have the option of saving up Cogs to deploy something more powerful, like a *L.A.S.E.R. Shark. The choice will be yours within the options given.

Don’t worry if you have any Spyderbots out on the map — those will remain. As mentioned above, moving forward Daily ZeeOps will award Cogs instead of the Spyderbot directly. Of course, not all tPOBs are created equal, so different amounts of Cogs are required to convert to each tPOB type.

You’ll find all the details and conversion rates at munzee.com/redeem. These rewards/rates may change from time to time. You will see your available list of blueprints on the Redeem page. If you don’t see the blueprint you’ll need to find the location to purchase or earn it. Cogs are currently only available as Daily ZeeOps rewards, but this may change in the future. There are many options out there for us to use and award these Cogs as prizes!

RUMBot Details

What better way to launch Cogs than with some new tPOBs to build? To continue support of our Authorized Resellers, we’ve developed RUMbots! Please welcome these very special swashbucklers color-coded to match each Reseller’s shop!

Similar to the Spyderbot, RUMbots are temporary POBs that will remain on the map until they have been captured 5 times. They will be available at our Authorized Resellers’ shops some time today. When you purchase a RUMbot  from a Reseller, you will receive a fully-built RUMbot that auto-deploys. You will also receive the Blueprint to rebuild it when you have earned enough Cogs in the future. Interested? You can get links to shop all of our resellers HERE!

Points

  • Deploy: 300
  • Capture: 150
  • CapOn: 200

You can find these worldly warriors sailing to the following landing pads every 6 hours or when captured:

RUMbots of ANY type will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture RUMbots on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same RUMbot visits you. RUMbots are non-blastable. They will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access RUMbots by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

Badges

Deploying a RUMbot will earn you the Blueprint badge. You can see the badge for the Gold’n Coins RUMbot as an example below.

There is also a line of capture badges that you can earn for RUMbot captures! You can see the first badge in this line below.

We hope you look forward to dueling these droids!

Munzee on!

*The 3 L.A.S.E.R. Shark blueprints will only be available through completing the Secret ZeeOps. Did you miss out on one of them? Stay tuned…

Spyderbot Squashing Initiative

Agents, we’ve received reports that a disturbing number of Spyderbots have flooded the map. While this is a good thing, as it means many of you are completing your Daily ZeeOps Missions regularly, it seems they aren’t getting squashed as quickly as we had expected. So, to make it more worth your while, we’ve quickly put together another bonus period for the month! We’ve even got a few rewards if you help us out!

Double Points Details

From the period of Wednesday, May 26th at 12:00 MHQ through Monday, May 31st at 23:59 MHQ, enjoy double capture points on Spyderbots! Please note that capon points are not doubled — this period is meant to reward those hunting and squashing the pesky machines.

To make them a bit easier to cap, we’ve added…

Limited-Time Landing Pads

For the same period as double points, Spyderbots will land on the following:

Rewards!

Help us short circuit the Spyderbot population and we’ll make it worth your efforts! Anyone who captures a Spyderbot during this time period will receive 5 Rover Treats. Anyone who squashes a Spyderbot will receive 1 QRowbar!

You will only receive the reward once, this is not repeated each time you cap or squash a Spyderbot. The rewards will be delivered on June 1st at 12:00 MHQ.

Rover’s Ability Boosted!

For the same period as double points, you will be able to send Rover to capture Spyderbots that are behind 500 feet, but within 1000 feet, using Rover Treats! Please keep in mind that Rover can only fetch on virtual munzees (normally only Amethysts and virtual scattered munzees are eligible to have their capture radius extended), so he can help you move Spyderbots along, but he cannot squash them for you.

Remember that the popup to send Rover to capture a munzee will only appear if you are out of the original range, so make sure to keep an eye out!

If you don’t have a Rover with you and there aren’t any nearby for you to pick up, you can purchase one from the Freeze Tag Store HERE, or if you’re on your Munzee-playing device, you can purchase it in the In-App Store HERE. To learn more about how Rover works visit our Help Guide articles HERE!

We hope this brings the Spyderbot population back under control!

Munzee on!
