April Gargoyle Reminders

If you haven’t picked up a base Gargoyle yet, they are available in the Freeze Tag Store for $9.

As a reminder, this is how to have a permanent Gargoyle on your account next year:

  • Own at least 8 Gargoyles by the end of the year.
    • Each month, the price of a Gargoyle will decrease by $1.
    • However, players can only purchase 1 Gargoyle every 28 days.

You can find this sleepy statue at the following landing pads every 6 hours or when captured:

Remember, instead of scatters, Gargoyles introduce a new dual-ownership mechanic which will benefit both deployers and cappers!

  • After 4 captures, the Stone Gargoyle will turn into a Cracking Gargoyle
  • After 1 more capture, the Cracking Gargoyle will turn into a Freed Gargoyle, which is owned by both the deployer AND capper! This means both players will earn CapOn points!
    • NOTE: Only the Main Gargoyle Owner will get credit for the deploy. The Temporary Co-Owner will not see a deploy on their side, but instead will see earned CapOn points whenever the co-owned bouncer is captured.
  • After 5 captures, the Freed Gargoyle will turn back into a Stone Gargoyle

  • Unique type deploy badges — you’ll need to earn each month’s skin by keeping your streak up!
  • Unique type capture badges — capture at least 1 of each skinned Gargoyle!

  • Overall capture badges — capture as many Gargoyles as you can find!

Get ready to celebrate, because a brand-new wave of BVGs is on the way—and this time, we’re giving you a head start! We’re launching four new Bouncing Virtual Gardens, each inspired by fun seasonal moments and fan-favorite celebrations. From galactic battles and festive fiestas to taco traditions and heartfelt blooms, these designs are ready to bring fresh energy to maps around the world. To help everyone plan ahead, we’re once again giving a full 24-hour heads-up before these BVGs go live—so you’ll have plenty of time to coordinate, purchase, and prepare before the bouncing begins!

Whether you’re channeling the Force with the May The 4th BVG, shaking things up with the Cinco De Mayo BVG, celebrating tacos on the perfectly-timed Taco Tuesday BVG, or showing some love with the Mother’s Day BVG, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Once the gardens start bouncing by Monday, May 4th, it will bounce for 6 weeks, meaning until 23:59 MHQ on June 15th!

As before, each garden will launch at a different time to give players around the world a fair shot at deploying. A single Bouncing Virtual pin costs $5.00, and each player may purchase up to 1 BVC per garden. Check out this pin that received 454 caps from one of the first BVG sold. That’s 22,700 CapOn points in just over 6 weeks from a single deploy!

⚔️ May 2026 Gauntlet Guide 🛡️

As announced in the blog post that went out earlier today, May will host the first official Gauntlet Games! While the mechanics will stay the same for the program formerly known as Clan Wars, please note that you may still see references to “clans” or “Clan Wars” in various areas — we’ll do our best to update them all ASAP!

If you are not yet a premium member we hope you will consider supporting the game through a premium membership. This is available via monthly or yearly subscription directly in the app, or a yearly purchase online. If you purchase through the app a 7 day free trial begins, and your status will not be updated until the end of that trial period.

Your Guild can earn monthly badges by reaching certain levels in Gauntlet Games. But remember, you only get a badge (and rewards) if the whole guild reaches that level. In May, there are six badges up for grabs, and with each progressing badge you’ll earn an emblem showing how far you made it through that month’s Gauntlet! Here’s a sneak peek at the Level 1 badge:

From April 22nd through April 24th, capturing Trees scattered from Earth Mysteries will have the chance to scatter Cans across the map. 🕵️ Secret ZeeOps – Gauntlet Gateway (April 2026) 🐂

Can you succeed where countless adventurers have failed and escape the gauntlet alive? An ALL NEW Secret ZeeOps is now available in the ZeeOps Hub for the usual cost of 1,500 Zeds — and now you can purchase it at any time! In November 2025, we pushed an update to make ALL Secret ZeeOps available — we hope you enjoy these expanded options!

Agents, you have been called upon by Cappy the Unicorn to aid in his quest: to enter a famously perilous temple and retrieve the treasure it contains. The first challenge is finding the temple — it won’t be easy, despite the number of victims it has already claimed. On top of that, the layout of the temple is completely unknown — preparing for this mission will require a lot of contingency plans.

Completing a series of missions will unlock new levels in this operation. There are three levels, each with five missions. If you conquer every mission in Operation: Gauntlet Gateway, you’ll earn a cool new badge, the NEW M1N0T4UR Mech (info below), and more exciting rewards listed in the app!

NEW Mech Details

Like the other Munzee Mechz, M1N0T4UR is a temporary POB that will remain on the map until it has been captured 15 times.

Landing Pads

This beastly bull charges to the landing pads listed above every 6 hours or when captured.

This mech will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture this mech on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same mech visits you. This mech is non-blastable. It will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access this mech by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When M1N0T4UR is captured, it will scatter up to 3 Gauntlet Gate Keys on the Mech owner’s account.

These scatters will be visible to any player and expire after 120 minutes. They have a capture radius of 300 feet. Since they are passive deploys, these scatters will NOT count for deploy streaks, ZeeOps, or clan activity.

Every 25 deploys of a specific Celtic Zodiac type will earn you the corresponding tPOB! As they are temporary bouncers, their name contains the “Wandering” prefix. For example, if you’ve deployed 25 Celtic Wolves, you will have a Wandering Druid Wolf automatically deployed on your account.

Once you’ve reached 100 deploys of a specific Celtic Zodiac type, you will earn the corresponding POB! As they are permanent bouncers, their name contains the “Eternal” prefix. Again, using the Celtic Wolf as an example — if you’ve deployed 100 Celtic Wolves, you will have an Eternal Druid Wolf automatically deployed on your account. Please note: these bouncers are limited to 1 per player! However, you can continue to earn Wandering Druid bouncer deploys.

Deep in the the enchanted groves, a new band of mechz is gathering outside of work hours—the Dads of Sirwood Forest! These Middle-Aged Mechanical Medieval Fathers may crack groan-inducing dad jokes, but don’t be fooled—their courage (and questionable hobbies) make them a force to be reckoned with. Last time, you met Sir Ramic — read on to find out about the next merry mech!

This mech will be available for multi-capture. That means players can capture this mech on their own munzees, any previously captured munzees, and more than once if the same mech visits you. This mech is non-blastable. It will be attracted to both Physical Magnets and Virtual Magnets. You can access this mech by turning on your “All Expiring Specials” filter.

When Sir Tan is captured, it will scatter up to 3 FOOOORE Irons on the Mech owner’s account.

🐇 1st Player-Designed BVG Hatches — by matasu 🐣

How was your Easter, Munzee family? We hope your day was filled with egg hunts, sweet treats, and plenty of springtime fun! Even though the holiday has hopped by, the celebration isn’t over just yet… because a brand new surprise BVG is hatching!

This Easter Egg BVG is extra special — it’s the very first time we’re spotlighting a player’s garden design and bringing it to life for the entire Munzee community to enjoy around the world! A big shoutout to matasu, the creative mind behind this egg-cellent design. To preserve their original creation and keep its charm intact, this BVG will be a smaller garden with just 160 pins. As a special thank you, matasu will also receive an honorary pin and deploy within this newly launched BVG!

As before, each garden will launch at a different time to give players around the world a fair shot at deploying. A single Bouncing Virtual pin costs $5.00, and each player may purchase up to 1 BVC per garden. Check out this pin that received 454 caps from one of the first BVG sold.
