🩷💚💜 Glow Up! ☁︎🌒🎆 The Munzee Map Is Covered In Shadows!
The Epic Eclipse has darkened the New Dawn Festival, and malevolent midnight spirits have been unleashed all across the Munzee map! Certain Munzee types are now covered in neon shadows, and this Shadow Curse is spreading through clusters of glowing blacklight Wisps. Shine a light and save the day by capturing Shadow Cursed Munzees, clear out the Shadow Wisps, and brighten up the map before this eclipse is permanent!

Shadow Cursed Munzees
As the darkness spreads, some of our most brightly shining munzees have been taken over by the neon glow of the shadows! Flat Flashlights, Air Mysteries, and Surprise Munzees have all been affected by the Shadow Curse, and their black-lit distortions can be seen below. Don’t let their neon glowing appearance fool you though — even if you’ve captured these Munzees before, shining a light on these shadow versions will earn you a brand new cap!

As the Shadow Curse continues to spread, new Munzee types will be overcast… Here’s a sneak peek at the upcoming afflicted types starting next Tuesday, July 21st at 00:01 MHQ! Week #1 types will still be available to find alongside Week #2. Move fast and help brighten things up while you can — all Shadow Munzees will fade away and leave the map on Sunday August 2nd at 23:59 MHQ.

These Shadow Munzees are FlashMOBs just like the Cursed Munzees from previous events. This means that the Cursed Munzees are actually a “mask” applied on top of a host munzee: similar to a bouncing munzee, but once capped, they do NOT bounce anywhere else. You have “removed” the mask. All effected munzees will have these new types placed on top of them – only the first to capture on each type will be able to get these Cursed Munzees! So hurry and rush to capture them before others do!
Special Scatter Details
Upon cleansing a Shadow Munzee via capture, up to 3 Shadow Wisps will materialize nearby. This is the curse’s final defense mechanism — if it can’t stay on its original host, it will attempt to spread nearby via Wisps, like a nasty infection. Cap them to keep the map from succumbing to darkness!

Limited Time Event Pack
The Shadow Cursed Pack is here to help you chase the darkness before it spreads! This limited-time bundle includes a mix of all 6 featured Shadow Cursed types. Deploy them during the Shadow Cursed Event to bring more cursed captures closer to you, then track down the scattered Shadow Wisps to keep the shadows from taking over the map!

Badges
Brightening up the map and shining a neon light on the Shadow Curse won’t be an easy task, so Cappy has prepared two special badges to recognize the most determined cappers!
The first badge, shown below, is awarded for capturing at least 25 Shadow Wisps and helping push back the shadowy spread:

One badge is revealed, but the other is still in the shadows — you’ll need to see the light to reveal the solution!
